Waikiki Beach Cleanups

As one of the largest hotel owners in Waikiki, Kyo-ya makes it a priority to keep local beaches clean for visitors and residents to enjoy. Kyo-ya managers and associates, as well as their friends and family, regularly participate in early morning beach clean-up projects to protect the environment and ensure Waikiki remains a premiere destination for surf, sun and sand.

As seen below, staff from The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, recently teamed up with volunteers with the Waikiki Improvement Association (WIA) to clean and maintain a heavily used portion of Waikiki Beach that was recently expanded through a public-private partnership between Kyo-ya, the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources.
