Diamond Head Tower Renderings

The new Diamond Head Tower will be the first new hotel adjacent to Waikiki Beach
in more than 30 years. The tower will feature a mix of residential condominiums and
hotel rooms, providing world-class accommodations for visitors and adding to the
stability of the Waikiki community.

Mauka – makai view of the proposed Diamond Head Tower. The mauka facade of
the tower will tell the story of the history of the Waikiki ahupuaa and add a significant
cultural addition to the architecture of Waikiki. The tower also opens up views to the
ocean from Kalakaua Avenue for the first time in 50 years.

In planning the new Diamond Head Tower, Kyo-ya has worked closely with the local
community, environmental and cultural experts, and government to ensure the project
addresses their needs and concerns. At the request of the Director of the Department
of Planning and Permitting, Kyo-ya "stepped-back" the top floors of the tower.

The mauka-makai orientation of the new Diamond Head Tower will create significant
open space on the ground floor, providing public ground-level views from Kalakaua
Avenue through the tower to the ocean. In the image above of the ground floor of the
tower, everything in beige is open space. Also, note the large landscaped public
pedestrian walkway on the right, which will provide public access to Waikiki Beach
from Kalakaua Avenue - the widest such access across private property in Waikiki.
