"Reach the Peak" Hawaii Literacy Project

In 2011, Kyo-ya managers and associates collected 20,238 books for the “Reach the Peak” Hawaii Literacy project, which amounted to the single largest donation of books in the history of the organization and more than the average collection for an entire year.

Hawaii Literacy is an organization that is dedicated to providing literacy skills training for adults to enable them to find better jobs, improve their parenting skills and better succeed in life. The organization also offers Family Literacy Libraries and a Bookmobile to bring the joy of reading to children and families.
